6 Days until the marathon

Today was a 4 mile run. I was going to say an ‘easy 4 miles’, but it really wasn’t. It was hard to get up and get that run in. I didn’t want to. My calves didn’t want to. My stomach didn’t want to. But, after mile 2 or 3 everything just starts to fall into place. Your muscles get relaxed, your body heats up to the temperature you’re dressed for (it was 35 this morning), and you stop complaining about having to go for a run. I think I actually prefer 5 or 6 miles so that you can enjoy that feeling for at least half your run!
