First group cycle and russian yoga torture

So our first group cycle was today.  Of course it was on the other side of town, so our 1 hour cycle turned into a 3-hour adventure between packing, setting up, unpacking, etc.   I think I’m going to stick to the group events on this side of town.  I’m glad I went, but I think I need to be a little more careful with my time if I’m going to fit all this stuff in plus family time.

But, seeing as how I was already there, they offered us a free ‘Yoga for Athletes’ session right after the cycle class.  Our instructor was a very tall, thin woman with a thick Russian accent.  While she certainly knew her stuff, I guess I was expecting a little more stretching, and a little less leg work.  Especially after I just used my legs for an hour straight!  Needless to say, between her barking commands in her Russian accent, and the pain emanating from my legs, I kept imagining I was in some 80’s film where the hero is tortured by the KGB.  Might skip that class next time…
